Clean and clear skin is always in. Some people are blessed to have it by simply washing with water, while others, like myself, have to put in more effort. I have other favorite brands from Sephora and I’ll blog about those another time. Right now, I’m sharing products that are easy to find and convenient to pick up anytime.
Clean & Clear Deep Action Exfoliating Cleanser has become my go-to cleanser—it’s easy on my pockets and gentle on my face. It’s an oil-free formula that contains pro-vitamin B5. The fine microbeads feel like sand particles but without the coarseness. What I like about this cleanser is that it removes my makeup and cleans my face without being abrasive. My skin feels smooth, and my mind is at ease knowing this product was rated “excellent” in the Yuka app.
After cleansing, I follow up with Dickinson’s Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner, another easy-to-find product at general merchandise or big-box retailers. The fragrance-free formula has only two ingredients: All-Natural Distilled Witch Hazel (containing natural grain alcohol, 14%) and Organic Witch Hazel Extract. It’s a gentle formula that feels cool to the touch. I apply it with a cotton ball or a reusable cotton nursing pad. #ReduceReuseRecycle
I have medium skin (not oily or dry) and would recommend this duo to anyone with the same skin type. After weeks of use during the winter months, I think this combination would be too harsh for someone with dry skin. It’s worth a try.
