Tuesday:
(Prepare for a written rant in 3,2,1…) When we bought this house, we had it all planned out. We would have our three kids and live here until we outgrew this house. It seemed perfect, but now I’m having a hard time remembering what that plan was. Where did all that “extra” space go? Link and Park will share a room and I guess a dresser now. I feel like it’s too soon to bring infant clothes out of storage but I need those bins to store the clothes that are too small for Lincoln. But that doesn’t help with the drawer space….I think I’ll hang up all of Parker’s long sleeve shirts and that will free up a drawer so I can put Lincoln’s short sleeve tees in. So both of them will have a drawer for short sleeve tees. I think I can fit Lincoln’s long sleeve tees in Parker’s closet as well. I want all of their stuff together just to make it easier because at some point we will get bunk beds for Link and Park. Lincoln is still learning where his clothes are and how to get himself dressed so the sooner I move his clothes the better. I don’t want him getting used to the current set up and then we change it in a month or two. So yes, I’ll start with hanging up all the long sleeve tees. See, we’re making progress. I just had to type it out.
Wednesday:
So I’ve entered the phase where I’m not able to fit as much food as I would like to. Brian made a tasty stew for dinner and I ate most of the bowl. If I wasn’t pregnant I probably would’ve finished the bowl and followed it up with dessert but I didn’t have the room. I’ll need to be more mindful of snacking and eating smaller meals throughout the day so I don’t get that overly-full feeling while still being hungry.
Tonight my left foot has been cramping pretty bad and I’m having a lot of belly tightening. I’m thinking I may be a little dehydrated so I’m drink more water than I normally would at this hour. It’s almost 11pm. If the cramps aren’t from dehydration, maybe it’s related to the hip and leg pain I’ve been experiencing on my left side. It’s my left foot so it would make sense. Sleeping with the pillow between my legs has been hit or miss. Some nights it’s great and others, like last night, I’m awakened by the pain. Maybe I don’t have it positioned the same each time? It’s helped enough times that I’ll keep sleeping with it.
I have an Ob appointment on Friday. It’s my glucose test. Yuck! Unfortunately, I’ll be by myself for this appointment because Brian has a proposal to submit that day and my little buddy, Lincoln, will be hanging with my mom at my parents’ house. I’ll ask her about the belly tightening as well. I think it’s just Braxton Hicks but I don’t remember having so many in my previous pregnancies. And I don’t necessarily have to be doing anything for them to happen. I do feel like exercise and nipple stimulation (and maybe stroking my inner arm) are causing it to happen more frequently.
