27 weeks

Saturday:

Okay, so the past couple of weeks have flown by. I missed my weekly bumpie again. Ugh. Baby Beau is still pretty active and I’ve been better about my water intake this past week. I went for a 4 mile walk with my neighbor the other day. I felt fine afterward but then we had soccer practice that evening and I think it was too much. I felt awful that night. She wants to walk again on Monday so I’ll be sure to keep it short and again, focus on hydration since the boys have soccer practice that night as well. 

Monday:

I had a bit of a scare the other night. I was laying in bed when it felt like my leg was going numb. The pain worsened when I sat up it was an intense pain radiating down from my hip to my ankle. I didn’t know what to do. I was able to inch myself off the bed in an attempt to walk it out. I took a teaspoon of mustard (that’s an old folks remedy for cramps) but I don’t think that’s what it was. I dragged my foot around the house until I could walk properly again. It took a few minutes but it got better then more I moved. I didn’t get much sleep that night. And today, while I didn’t experience the radiating pain, I did notice that my hip is beginning to bother me during the day and not just at night. So I’ve got to try a sleeping pillow or something. At the moment I have a heating pad tucked under my hip and that feels nice. 

This morning I went for a walk with my neighbor. We only walked three miles but that was enough since my hip was achy. I hope I can find some sort of relief soon. 

Wednesday:

I’m six months pregnant and I’m just now moving my maternity clothes into the closet. I’d been pulling stuff out of a storage bag and still wearing some of my regular clothes. On a good note, for the past two nights, I’ve slept with a king-size pillow wedged between my legs and it’s actually helping my hip pain! The past two mornings I’ve woken up feeling well-rested. I may forgo getting a pregnancy pillow since this seems to be working. I’m going to do some cardio tomorrow and see how I feel Friday. It would be nice to work up a sweat again and not be worried about pain afterward. We’ll see!
