24 weeks

Monday:

My nipples are still SCREAMING for attention! Lol I have to laugh about it because I think Brian is so used to just reaching over for them when we’re cuddled and I’m finding myself going “Hey! Cut that out!” It’s an adjustment for sure. As is the extra weight I’m putting on.

On Saturday, we took the train up to Baltimore for a visit to Port Discovery Children’s Museum and sightseeing. It was more physically challenging than I expected. We were cutting it close on time when we were walking back to the train station and we were booking it. It was raining and so windy I had to take my hat off and tuck it under my arm along with our bag of leftovers as the wind blew my shirt up exposing my belly. Brian was pushing the stroller as I power-waddled uphill behind him. I was experiencing Braxton-Hicks contractions the entire 1.5 miles back. We made it back in time and had a relaxing train ride back home. I spent all of yesterday trying to hydrate and binge on healthy foods to make up for the lack of healthy eating on Saturday. I’m still tired and my back feels tight and cramped up. Maybe the boys will join me in some extended stretching today.

Friday:

I’m starting to feel the effects of pregnancy brain. I’ll admit, I didn’t get much sleep last week and I thought that was the cause of me being kind of off but now I’m thinking it’s just pregnancy brain. Getting my days and appointments mixed up often. Thank goodness for my calendar.

We have a doctor’s appointment later this morning to check Beau’s growth. It’s the last appointment we’ll have at the advanced maternal doctor’s office. Thank goodness because they are so expensive and I don’t like their payment options. They always overcharge us then our insurance is like “aht aht” and then they provide a credit to our account Just charge us what’s due and call it a day! So at my last Ob appointment, she said we do not have to continue going there. We can finish up with the regular Ob. Beau seems to be doing well and my lupus is not bothering me so there are no worries right now. Three more weeks and we enter the last leg of this pregnancy! I’m so excited and ready to start prepping the house around here. Parker is so sweet. Last night he said he’ll get the baby swing out for his baby brother so he can play outside with him and Lincoln. It’ll be a while before Beau can play outside on the baby swing but such a nice thought of Parker. He really is a great kid and I love him so much. He’s an awesome oldest child.
