This three-ingredient hot cocoa recipe is not just tasty but it’s super easy to make. I’m not going to bad-mouth store-bought hot cocoa because it is delicious as well. BUT! If you are looking for a basic I-want-to-know-everything-in-my-beverage type of recipe, this is it.
Ingredients
1 ½ cups Organic unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 tbsp Organic cocoa powder
2 tbsp White sugar
Directions
Bring milk to a boil
Make a thick paste with cocoa powder and sugar using a splash of warm milk
Slowly stir the boiling milk into the cocoa paste
Enjoy! Top with a few marshmallows, whip cream, or a peppermint stick for a little razzle-dazzle
Side Notes:
If you don’t care for almond milk, use your preferred milk or milk alternative. It doesn’t hurt to experiment. Keep in mind different kinds of milk have different boiling points. I heard a watched pot never boils but…they all do.
