St. Patrick’s Day is a fun holiday that doesn’t require spending a lot of money. My rule of thumb is to keep green food coloring on hand.
- A green-themed breakfast is an easy way to get into the spirit. Last year I made bagels with green cream cheese and sprinkles. Remember my rule about keeping green food coloring on hand? This year I stepped it up a notch. First, I cut the bagel half in half, making a semi-circle. Second, I nestled Froot Loops into the green cream cheese spread on top, creating a…Rainbow Bagel! I served that with a side of green Greek yogurt topped with chocolate chips.

You would be correct to assume that the boys got a massive sugar rush after consuming all their breakfast. Not a crumb was left.
- Themed printables are great for any occasion really.

- Homemade finger paint was a hit with the boys. I didn’t follow an exact recipe but all you need is fragrance-free shaving cream, white school glue, food coloring, and small containers to mix it in. We had 2oz disposable ramekins that I filled with shaving cream. I put one glob of glue in each container then mixed in my food coloring last. The paint ended up being more textured than puffy and the clean-up was easy.

- Lucky Charms cupcakes have been a thing for years. But did you know you could buy a cupcake kit? Neither did I until I opened our pantry! I think Brian bought this at Wegmans.
