2020 has been one of the most physically challenging years for me. In between specialist visits and introducing new supplements to my diet, I’ve tried my best to learn and understand this new body I have. My exercises have become just as mentally challenging as they are physical. That being said, when I came across this particular yoga mat, it wasn’t the brand that caught my attention, it was the message, “I am”. I am a mother, I am a wife, I am a friend, I am a sister, I am strong, I am capable, I can do this!

In terms of yoga mats, this variety would be considered thick and is ideal for use with core strength training and stretching. Basically, any type of movement that’s going to have you pressing your joints into the ground, you’ll want to do it on this yoga mat. I’ve been using my mat with aerobics as well and the amount of movement during a 45-minute workout is minimal. We have LVP flooring downstairs where I exercise and it never really bothered me, or my knees, until after I’d been doing aerobics on my mat and then went back to exercising on the bare floors. As for keeping it clean, I simply wipe it down with a damp paper towel after each workout.
